Rate limit reached
Some users see ChatGPT rate limits from time to time, especially on free ChatGPT plans. This is usually a usage-limit issue on the ChatGPT side, not a problem with your extension setup.
Important: ChatGPT premium and this extension are separate. Upgrading one does not automatically upgrade the other.
In many cases, waiting around an hour and trying again works. If you still need to continue right away, signing into a different ChatGPT account can also help.
What you can do
- Wait about one hour, then try again.
- Check which ChatGPT account is currently active.
- Sign into another ChatGPT account if you need to continue immediately.

This message often appears when uploaded text is flagged by ChatGPT. It can happen because of content restrictions, copyright concerns, or other moderation reasons. That means the result is not always controlled by the extension itself.
If that text cannot be processed there, try an alternative text-to-speech option such as gemini-reader.com or googl-reader.com.

Turn on the highlight text button so you can follow the exact words during playback. If you want to type or edit words manually, use the source text button first.

Select the voice before uploading text. Voice choice needs to be set first so your playback is generated with the right voice.
How do I download transcriptions?
Use the download button at the top of the transcription area. You can pick from the formats currently available, including PDF, EPUB, and other options shown in your interface.
How do I select text from a web page so it can be read aloud?
Highlight the text and double-click it. The read option appears, opens the ChatGPT site, and then opens the extension overlay on top.
